STARS4ALL

For the fight against light pollution

ARTIFICIAL LIGHT AFFECTS US ALL

Light pollution is an issue that often goes unnoticed, but it is a direct consequence of our technological advances and is linked to numerous health problems and disruptions in ecosystems.

STARS4ALL is a European project whose objective is to raise public awareness of the effects and impact of artificial light on living beings, safety, and energy waste, in addition to depriving more than 85% of the world’s population of a fundamental right that is the observation of starry night skies.

POLLUTION CONTROL TO PROTECT OUR ENVIRONMENT

Extremadura has set out to control light pollution through carefully designed measures for improving our environment and overall well-being. With active participation in the STARS4ALL project, a network of TESS photometers has been installed to constantly collect information about our skies and thus combat light pollution.
